I have been following Naomi's and Margaret's entries in the Feeling Sketchy Challenge Blog and I had a bit of spare time so I decided to enter this weeks challenge. It is becoming quite addictive entering these challenges. By the way, Congratulations ladies on your selection to the design team.
This card came together so quickly. I can sometimes spend hours on a card and still not be happy with it but I am quite happy with how this one turned out. You can't really see from the photo but there is bling on the tree.
Hello. It has been quite hot here in Brisbane the last couple of days but fortunately we have air-con so we don't suffer too much, try to stay indoors as much as possible. I must admit I prefer the hot weather to the cold.
Anyhow, today's card is another Christmas one with lots of texture.
Stamp from Hero Arts
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders Swiss Dots and Holly Ribbons
On one of the groups I belong to we had a colour challenge of Yellow, Blue and Green. I wanted to do something a little different and this is what I came up with. I am quite please with the end result. Grass and fence cut using the Silhouette. Flower stems hand cut. Stamp from Sarah Kay Coloured with Prismacolor pencils
Another white on white card today. This one uses the Anja's Corner die from Marianne Creatables to create the square background. The poinsettia from Heartfelt Creations was stamped on vellum and embossed with white embossing powder and die cut using the matching dies. The flourish is a die from Die-namics.
I am entering this card in the following challenges,
My card for this months challenge at Scrapbook Boutique features the Lace Tree embossing folder from Cuttlebug. A die cut ornament from Memory Box tied with a bow and some die cut letters. Looked a bit plain so I added the little white pearls and the die cut corners.I love the elegance of white on white.
Have been too busy this past week to post anything so will try to get back into the groove.
Today's card uses the same Hero Arts Christmas Tree stamp as was used here , except this time it was stamped with Vesamark and gold embossed. A completely different look using the same stamp.
Today my Grandson graduated from Year 12. We all attended the ceremony held at the school and it was quite an emotional ride as they showed the progression of the students through their 5 years of High School. I am so proud of him for all he has achieved.
Now he moves on to the next stage of his life starting his apprenticeship with the Brisbane City Council as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. The qualifications he gains from this could set him up for life. Congratulations Alex.
I find it so hard to make cards for men. This year for my son's birthday I thought I would go with a bit of a fun card. The letters were cut with a Silhouette digital cutter and embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Inside the balloons were die cuts and the cake was stamped, coloured and cut by hand. The balloons and cake pop-up when card is opened.
This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest and I loved it so much I had to case it. Stamp from Hero Arts, heat embossed in white and coloured with Distress Inks. There is a stamping flaw on the sentiment but I am trying to live with it as I don't know of anything I can do to correct it and I really don't want to scrap the whole card.
I have finally started to get going on my Christmas Cards. My aim is to post a card daily up until Christmas. Not all will be Christmas cards but most will be. This first post is actually 2 cards but as they were so similar I dedided to post as one.
Pointsettia stamps from Heartfelt Creations stamped on vellum, heat embossed and cut out.
Merry Christmas stamp from Inkadinkado heat embossed.
This is the last in this series of the Crafters Digital Art Challenge . We were given two images to work with (a teapot and a tea cup) and some quotes all supplied by Priscilla Styles. I tried to include them all in my card.
Whew I just made it in time for this months challenge. We had you use the colours of Chocolate and Pink as our inspiration. I chose this stamp from "Whiff of Joy" and teamed up with Nesting Doily Squares from Quickutz.
I wanted to share some Birthday Cards I have made lately using the beautiful Heartfelt Creations stamps and die cuts. This first one is from the Bella Rose collection. Coloured with Prismacolour pencils.
This one is using the stamps from the Tattered Florals collection and hand cut. Once again, coloured with Prismacolour pencils
Another from the Tattered Florals collection
and this one is using the Flirty Fleur stamps and die cut.
I am quite chuffed as my card was picked as one of the STARS on the CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge. The image was kindly supplied by Priscilla Styles and we had a choice of a Halloween cat, Xmas cat or a Lazy cat, and naturally I chose the Xmas cat.
This is for a swap I am in and the theme was Pinks and Mauves. I think I kept to the guidelines fairly well.
The image is a Sarah Kay from Stampavie. The background is an embossing folder from Sizzix coloured with Distress Inks. Spellbinders dies were used to make the flowers. I really like the way it turned out.
