This is the card I am entering in this months Scrapbook Boutique blog challenge. Each month we are given a mood board for inspiration. With spring just around the corner I decided to use the bird as my inspiration.
The background "leafy" panel was cut on the Silhouette Cameo. I stamped the bird with distress ink and did very little colouring as I wasn't sure how the Copic marker would react with the ink but as you can see it worked well.
It was a milestone birthday for a male family member this past week. I am usually at a loss when it comes to male cards but when I saw the mood board for the June Challenge on Scrapbook Boutique, where the theme this month is "Gold is the New Black", it gave me some much needed inspiration.
I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils, cut out and popped up on dimensionals. The background dp was a free download from "Free Pretty Things for You". The "Happy" cutout was designed by me and cut using the Silhouette Cameo.
I love the soft pastel colours on this months mood board over on the Scrapbook Boutique Challenge Blog so I used that as inspiration for this card. The flowers were embossed on vellum with white embossing powder and then coloured from the back with distress inks.

As soon as I saw the Crazy Birds rubber stamps from Tim Holtz I knew I had to have them. They lend themselves perfectly to happy and fun projects. Today I made a birthday card using inspiration from the vibrant colours of the mood board on the Scrapbook Boutique Challenge Blog. I don't have the dies as yet so I fussy cut the image and popped him up on dimensionals. The background is a Cuttlebugembossing folder - Happy Birthday.

This month for the Outlawz Freebie/Progressive Challenge we were given this lovely image from Beccys Place "Spring Window". As soon as I saw it I just knew a gate/fence would set it off. So, I hunted through my cut files till I found the one that suited what I was looking for.
Credit where credits due - the Gatefold Card is a free svg from Monica's Creative Room.
I wish now that I had made the flowers a bit more colourful and vibrant, but overall I'm happy with the way it turned out.
This card was created with inspiration from the "Mood Board" that they have each month on the Scrapbook Boutique blog. I must admit that my first thought was - beach, but I needed a female Birthday card real quick so flowers it was. I coloured the stamped flowers with Distress Inks.
This is the Mood Board we had for inspiration.

I can't believe how organized I am this year (so far), in that, I have already completed my card for the Outlawz Progressive/Freebie Challenge. Normally I am rushing at the last moment. I guess because it has been so hot here lately and all I want to do is stay indoors in the air-con.
I coloured the image, that was kindly supplied by Bugaboo Stamps, with chalks.
I made this card for the January Progressive/Freebie Challenge on the Outlawz Challenges site. I also entered it into the January 17 Colour Challenge because I think it fits well into that challenge as well.
